Maps & Directions

We’re very easy to find and there are directions below, depending on which form of transport you’re using.

St Ives is very hilly and Park Avenue is slightly uphill, click here to read our Access Statement and to find us on Google Maps click on the link below.

By car

The A30 runs through Cornwall from Exeter to Penzance. When you reach Lelant take the A3074 into St Ives, eventually turn right (at the St Ives Harbour Hotel) into the town centre where the road turns sharply right and downhill. Follow it down and turn left onto the B3306 / Gabriel Street (NatWest Bank is on the corner) and Park Avenue is the 3rd turning on the left – just off the mini roundabout. Park in the Park Avenue car park, which you come to on the right hand side and then walk down Park Avenue with the wall on your right hand side.

You’ll see a sign for Little Leaf Guest House on the wall on the right hand side: We’re just above there but you need to walk to the end of the wall to double back up the path to our house. Click here to visualise.

Parking

Little Leaf Guest House does not have private parking and St Ives car parks can become busy during the summer season. However there is a large public car park (Park Avenue) just 3 doors down and the car park charges can be viewed by clicking here (this will open the Cornwall Council website). Unfortunately we cannot guarantee any spaces in this car park however it is usually less busy earlier and later in the day.

An alternative is the Leisure Centre Car Park (Trenwith) which is behind Park Avenue and has 1000 car parking spaces. Charges are exactly the same as the Park Avenue car park and can be viewed on the above link. If you park at Trenwith there is a pathway to Park Avenue next to the public toilets, it will be signposted ‘Town Centre’. Follow it to Park Avenue and it will come out at the Park Avenue Car Park, turn right and carry on down Park Avenue.

Please note that the car parks only take change. You cannot pay by notes and can only pay by card over the phone using an automoated ‘voice recognition’ system (best to bring the change if you can). Car park charges are operated by RingGo and you can pay in advance or download their Smart Phone app in order to pay quickly when you arrive.

If you do find it difficult to find a space we tend to find that if you are patient at the car parks then you will probably find that one comes free after 10 – 15 minutes.

St Ives Car Parks is another option, it’s nearby and good for if you want guaranteed parking.

From St Ives train station

Those of you who arrive by train are very lucky. The branch line which runs from St Erth to St Ives is one of the most scenic train journeys in the UK.

Little Leaf Guest House is a 5 minute walk from St Ives train station. It is slightly uphill however so if you have heavy or bulky luggage do let us know in advance and we will do our best to pick you up from the station. If you’re walking follow the main road into St Ives town centre and just before the road turns right to go sharply downhill you’ll see a small set of steps in front of you (next to the estate agent), go up those steps and you’ll find yourself on Tregenna Terrace, turn right and this leads into Park Avenue. Little Leaf Guest House is part of the row of houses raised above the road on the left hand side.

By air

Little Leaf Guest House is a 45 minute drive from Newquay Airport which has regular connecting flights from many places in the UK.
